Theta is the most important thing to know when treating neuroma pain with orthotics. Traditional medical orthotics have no more than 20 degrees of angular correction or theta. This is enough correction to occasionally reduce the neuroma symptoms but infrequently resolves the pain completely. At 25 degrees there is enough correction to resolve twice as much pain as you can with 20 degrees. At 30 degrees correction, I can start to decrease the actual size of the neuroma and create a 90 percent chance that Neuroma surgery will never take place. Some athletes and patients who work on their feet will require up to 35 and 40 degrees of optimal correction in order to completely resolve all symptoms as well as the progression of the painful neuroma condition.
Theta-Orthotics come in 10, 15, 20, 25,30, 35 and 40 degrees of correction. This reduces the pressure on the Inter Metatarsal nerve almost 400 percent more than any other orthotic device. If you have already tried other orthotics, I can guaranty at least twice as much relief from your neuroma pain with just five degrees more correction than you are currently getting..
Progressive theta treatment programs let you start at very tolerable correction levels and eventually work up to correction that can completely control your symptoms.
