Theta-Orthotics Products: All devices that control foot function, supinate the foot, as we walk, run, and stand. Supination of the foot, creates a chain reaction of biomechanical events, with external rotation of the leg, decreased pelvic tilt, and a straighter spine. The amount of supination generated by any foot control device ultimately determines the benefit of the treatment. (Theta)

We have three basic treatment products. Each one supinates the foot at different times during gait.
- Our Standard Theta-Orthotics use a traditional rear foot wedge, that is placed in the center of the long arch.
- Our PST or Propulsive Stage Theta wedge is positioned directly under the weight bearing metatarsal heads.
- Our Total Control Theta-Orthotics use both rear foot and forefoot wedges to control function throughout the entire gait cycle.
- Theta-Orthotics measure the angle of both wedges in mathematical terms (Theta). We use 7 different levels of rear foot and 6 different levels of forefoot correction. Our treatment products provide help to patients with extremely flat feet, as well as patients with excessively high arches. Quantified angular design, with functional wedges during midstance and propulsive stage of gait cycle, three types of angular (functional) control makes our progressive treatment programs, more tolerable, more effective, and totally unique.

This rear foot wedge is the type of control used in most prescription and over the counter orthotics. It applies a supinatory force to the foot during the first and middle stage of the gait cycle, during the time that the foot is mostly flat on the ground. As we walk, weight is transferred to the metatarsals, and this rear foot wedge becomes ineffective. It provides little to NO value during dance, athletics, or other propulsive stage activities.
This device will create the strongest arch possible as it strengthens the Peroneous Longus. It requires that the foot be flexible and free of arthritis that limit movement of the joints. We now recommend it primarily for younger patients who are as interested in reestablishing a strong arch, as they are in decreasing pain cause by collapse of the arch..

This Custom rear foot device is fitted with biofoam impressions to each individual, and is fabricated out of a durable, flexible, urethane rubber material, that has no sharp edges, will not break , crack or tear up the inside of your shoe. It is best used under the removable in-liner of a lace up casual shoe. Our Standard Theta-Orthotic can be upgraded with a full length Premium/Standard Theta-Orthotics neoprene/leather enclosure that provide cushion and insure proper positioning of the device in the shoe.

Propulsive Stage Theta (PST) This simple yet highly effective forefoot wedge applies its supinatory force to the foot and leg as body weight transfers to the metatarsals during propulsive stage of gait. It provides help during normal walking but is most effective during running , jumping, and dancing as body weight is up on the ball of t he foot.
This light weight device provides optimal benefits during athletic activities and when used in specialty shoes that do not accommodate a traditional rear foot wedge orthotic.
Currently we can attach this device directly to any type of shoe, athletic shoe, boot cleat or in-liner. It provides both pain relief and improved balance during function, and is recommenced for use during competitive athletics, including all cycling activities, and in shoes that will not accommodate rear foot control orthotics.

This COST-EFFECTIVE propulsive stage device is significantly more effective than it’s simple design would suggest. The fact that it can be used in virtually any shoe permits supinatory control in shoe types that have never worked with traditional rear foot orthotics.

Without question this is the most effective foot control device in the world. With Two wedges that change the angle of support, the foot is supinated throughout the entire weight bearing part of gait. It creates the most optimal function possible, for every patient, during standing, walking, running, jumping and biking. Because it fully compensates for the angular deformity that causes the foot to pronate, and the leg to internally rotate during gait, it creates both natural and effective biomechanical control that is unequaled by any other foot control product.
Use of this product requires a snug fit, well secured shoe to maintain proper positioning of the wedges during function. It can be used in conjunction with our PST orthotic in shoes that will not accommodate a rearfoot wedge orthotic. Some control is definitely lost but function is much better than it would be without this dynamic fore foot wedge.
We now recommend this product for all patients over 40 years of age who suffer from disabling chronic pain caused by the way we walk and stand. This product was originally studied clinically in athletes and is now our treatment of choice for advanced medical conditions including Morton’s Neuroms, Calcaneal Heel Spur syndrome.
This is a custom fit orthotic device , made specific to the contours and dimensions of your foot, with a semi-weight bearing biofoam impression system. It comes in a light weigh device primarily used by athletes, and is made of a flexible, durable, non-compressible urethane rubber material, best used under the removable in-liner of your casual or athletic shoe.

This forefoot, and rear foot, wedge orthotic device, provides optimal angular correction during the entire gait cycle and can be upgraded with a Premium / Total-Control Theta-Orthotics, full length neoprene/leather enclosure that provides additional cushion and insured proper positioning of the device as it functions in your snug fit causal or athletic shoes. The removable in-liner can either be removed from the shoe, or placed under the orthotic, to take up space in a shoe that is somewhat oversized.
