Neuromas:

Nerve pain can be difficult to treat and is especially resistant to surgical excision.

Neuorma or Morton's Neuroma is an enlarged painful tumor of the Inter metatarsal nerve, usually between the 2nd and 3rd toes. It creates sharp burning type pain during periods of walking especially on hard surfaces and when barefoot.

Excessive pressure on this nerve as you walk causes a gradual inflammation, swelling and pain.  It is the 2nd most common problem seen in a Podiatrists office. Although it is commonly treated with cortisone injections, metatarsal pads, and surgery, the best way to treat the cause is to change the pressure on this nerve by changing the way we walk.

Orthotics are used to change the way we walk.  If you change just a little expect just a little relief of the neuroma symptoms.  If your orthotics can change the way you walk significantly, it can significantly decrease the pain and swelling of the nerve.  Theta Control Orthotics improve your walking so much that often all of the pain goes away even when higher heeled shoes are used.

Almost half of the neuromas seen in a specialists office are treated by surgical excision. Re-growth, reoccurrence, incomplete resolution of symptoms as well as eventual involvement of both feet are common following surgery.

Cortisone injection are extremely painful, temporary and potentially harmful when given repetitively.  Anti-Inflammatory's are sometimes helpful at first but usually fall way short of the desired pain relief as they get worse.

Theta Control Orthotics change foot function more than any other Orthotic on the market and are successful in eliminating the progression and pain of a neuroma even when many other orthotics have been tried.

Don't take the pain any longer.
