How do I know if I need more correction?

Once you have determined that wearing an orthotic/support device is of value, you may also realize that even full-time use of that particular device does not generate the complete pain relief or posture control you want. That is the time you will want to consider orthotic correction at a higher level. The time you have spent wearing your support reconfigures your arch structure, and not only will you now tolerate higher correction levels, but you may need them in order to get complete relief of your pain.

After a period of time, you completely adjust to your correction and may feel like your orthotics are not even there. You begin to question if they are working until you go without them and realize that they are working, but just not good enough. This is the time you know you need more correction.

When this happens, with other orthotics you may get lucky and find another support with more correction, or possibly not. When this happens with Theta-orthotics, all you have to do is go up to the next theta correction and you will again feel the relief and support you need.

Theta research over the last twenty years indicates that optimal control occurs at 40 degrees. Although not every patient requires 40 degrees to get the relief they want, it is clear that the more correction you get, the less pain you will have.
