Progressive Theta Treatment

As Theta correction was observed clinically it was obvious that every 5 degree increase practically doubled the benefits of the treatment. It was also clear that patients with low arches needed to begin the treatment at lower theta corrections. Patients with high arches required higher starting corrections.

Progressive Theta Treatment, begins at a tolerable correction, then increases the correction at 5 degree increments as the body adjusts to the changes in gait.

1. A few patients never go beyond the first correction.
2. Most patients progress through 2-3 levels of correction before they reach their individual treatment objectives.
3. Theoretical optimal is 37-9.5. Clinical optimal is different for each patient and may change over long term treatment.
