	High Arched Feet: If it is most obvious why somone with flat feet would need arch support, it is probably not very obvious why someone with high arches would benefit from orthtotics. Fact is that patients with hight arches don’t see the need for orthotics as early as those with flat feet. Beginning in the late 20’s to early 40’s most patients with high arches begin to experience chronic and progressive symptoms in the legs, and knees, and back. Most recognize the value of arch support by this time, unfortunately they rarely find a foot control device with sufficient support that is capable of resolving all of the pain. Most patients find the need to limit the amount of time spend waking and standaing as they search for answers.

Several medical reasons exist for the high arched foot. Most patients with severe deformity have an identifiable underlying neurological problem. (Post Polio, Charot Marie Tooth disease or CMT, Freidricks Ataxia, Peroneal Muscular Dystropy) More moderatly high arched patients are classified as Idiopathic Cavo Varus. As the name implies we don’t really know what causes the arch to exagerate in most of these patients, who make up the majority of those patients with high arched feet.


	Theta-Orthotics are the only orthotics in the world that quantifiy angular correction above the level required by most patients with High arched feet. No other foot control device in the world has more than 22 degrees of correction and most patients with high arches require a 25-40 degrees to get significant relief.
