With seven quantified levels of theta to choose from, we can start the Treatment Program with gentile support at 10 or 15 degrees of theta or aggressive functional control at 25-30 degrees.. Once you fully adjust to your starting correction, most patients want and need more help. If they don’t get it most will soon determine that the treatment is of little benefit and quit. Patients with high arches often feel like they need far more support than they can get in other 20 degree orthotics. Even low arch patients quit because they don't get enough correction eventually. What most patients need are more theta options. They need a treatment program that will start them out at a comfortable theta level, then progressively increase theta correction until the desired level is reached. The most likely cause of failure with this treatment is the perception that it can be done with one level of correction over a short period of time. Some patients may benefit from a device that provides modest support for three or more years , and we have one of those to accommodate that patient; but only we can offer you a progressive treatment program. A comprehensive Posture Treatment Program with seven levels of correction to chose from would ideally provide you with one custom fitted orthotic at your optimal starting correction, then another one every 5 degrees, all the way up to where you want your treatment to stop. This could take 4-7 different orthotics to get from your starting theta correction to a theoretically optimal correction of 40 degrees theta. A complete treatment program would keep your existing measurements on hand, digitally, and could mill a new orthotic at any correction level at any subsequent time. A comprehensive treatment program would be with you every step you take for the rest of your life and would be durable and economical. It would let each patient increase theta at his or her own pace.
